The government rolled out the new lower secondary education curriculum in February 2020 with the aim of creating and meeting the learners’ needs especially in regard to skills training and enhancement. it allows students to study only 12 subjects in Senior One and Two, with 11 of these being compulsory and one elective.

CONVETIONAL CURRICULUM
At St. Elizabeth girls’ school Mityana we have integrated both conventional education and vocational education with the aim of equipping our girls’ with marketable skills that will make them all round citizens . At St Elizabeth, we are skilling our ladies with many occupations like Nutrition and food technology, Web designers, Computer applications users, cloth and textile among others.

The Robotics programme powered by TME has enhanced the Girls curiosity and innovativeness and has also increased their appetite for the use of ICT in teaching and learning. We shall continue to explore the area of ICT together with other partners to enable our girls become global citizens and be able to enter the world of employment without necessarily travelling from their country
